The Republican newspaper endorses Kelli Moriarty-Finn for City Council At-Large, stating: "Financial experience is an asset for Moriarty-Finn, who is a senior project manager at an investment firm. She is also a community activist on many levels who speaks with conviction and authority on developing economic growth to expand the tax base and job opportunities.
Moriarty-Finn has articulated the need for "guarded optimism" that conveys positive messages about Springfield - without ignoring or denying the challenges unquestionably facing the city. This is a realistic and pragmatic approach to government."

The first female Mayor of Springfield, former Associate Justice of the District Courts, and current Governor’s Council member Mary Hurley has formally endorsed Moriarty-Finn.
Governor’s Council member Hurley comments, “Today, more than ever, we need the presence of strong women in local politics. I have known Kelli for many years. She will bring her love of Springfield, passion to serve, and strong business acumen to the Council, and play a large role in advancing the City forward. Springfield is moving in a new direction, and as a result, we have a need for fresh ideas and new leadership on the Council. The Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund (PPAF) is the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) and operates as a separate entity from PPLM under the 501(c)(4) tax guidelines. Formed in 1984, PPAF believes that working within the political process is critical to advancing PPLM’s mission to increase access to sexual and reproductive health services and comprehensive sexuality education for adolescents, women, men, and families across Massachusetts.
